New Year Coming

December 30, 2007 at 9:39 pm | In Anything Whatever | Leave a Comment

1 more day before the end of 2007 and a brand new year will begin. Guess its always during such times where we sit back and recollect what had happend for this whole year. Good or Bad.

Well.. I must say 2007 has indeed been an eventful year for me. Had gone through 2 change of environment in job (1 promotion and 1 join new company). Relationship wise, had also gone through quite abit. Hmm… though had regained my freedom, but had also lost a soul-mate whom can give me advice and be my listening ear when I needed one. Lucky for school work, it has been consistent, though the grades were indeed affected by the change of environment at work, but somehow managed to pull through and proceed to year 3.

Well… I guess thats life, you gain some you lose some.

Got a better paying job, but lose all the nice colleagues I once had.

Finally saw my sis home after such a long time, but got a shock of my life too.

Gained more experience through working, but can still get emotionally affected by things.

Had my sis moved back home temporary, but lose my privacy in the process.

Regaining my single-hood again, but lose a soul-mate in the end.

Haa… better stop now before getting too depressing.

Christmas in the air

Finally Christmas is approaching. Had attended 2 gatherings/party since last week, totally fun and great. Guess the Christmas mood is finally in already.

During the past few week, had managed to get a feel of the Christmas spirit through all the shopping, listening to Christmas song over radio and of course the party and gathering.

Had went over to my ex-colleague’s (Vimal) place on Friday after work since he had a bottle of Chivas around and his girlfriend had gone back home, so its a guys night-out for us (had planned for that since Oct). Went there, the usual group is already there and also Vimal’s house-mate, so settle down and the drinking begins. Had Chivas and chips while watching DVD, watch the show City of God, a Brazilian show about gangsters in one of the out-skirts at Brazil. Very nice show though a bit violence at times. After finishing the Chivas, decide to move over to China One at Clark Quay, since the group know the bands playing there, so we managed to get in without having the pay the cover-charge and also got a table reserved. Then more drinking begin, started with 2 jugs of beer and then Vodka Lime x 2, Vodka Cranberry x 1 and Vodka 7-Up x 2. Even saw one of our NSF in there partying too. So its a night of drinking, shaking around and looking at ladies there. Went home feeling high and tipsy…

Then Sat, went over to Sharon’s place for Christmas dinner, nice gathering with good food. Though its only a small group but it’s fun. All the talking and eating, played Monopoly, then follow by Mahjong. Fun man!! Stayed up the night again and came home this morning feeling stoned. But great fun!!

So spend the whole day at home to rest and recharged. I think mediacorp is also trying to get the Christmas mood going, they had been showing Christmas movies on TV since last night. (Elf was showing last night, and today was Christmas with the Kranks). I think watching Christmas movies during this period of time really helps to bring out the mood. Watched the show Christmas with the Kranks just now. Nice show, very light-hearted, no wonder last time my girlfriend always say Christmas session must watch Christmas show, now I finally see the logic behind.

Anyway.. Merry Christmas to one and all!! Enough of my blabbering. Need to go get some sleep to catch up for the lose sleep past few night.

Soaking up the Christmas Spirit

December 16, 2007 at 1:58 am | In Anything Whatever | 1 Comment

Was just blogging about not feeling the spirit of Christmas. I think I am starting to feel it already since Friday evening onwards and I think the conclusion for one to feel the Christmas Spirit, its to join the crowd and go into a shopping frenzy mode.

Well, started to do my Christmas Shopping last Friday, since I got time after work before going to my association. Went to Tampines Mall to walk walk. The whole place is crowded with people all doing their shopping… Had wanted to get Christmas Cards, but the shop selling them are crowded and their range are not that nice too… But ended up bought some stuffs from Cards n Such. When I saw it, I was like… this is so interesting man and to think I spent like almost half an hour looking at them and finding those that I want… End up got 3 pieces of it to give to my friends. Ended the day feeling satisfied as I had bought something.

Then today am suppose to pick up some cotton wool at Guardian, but ended up buying more than just cotton wool. In the process of getting the cotton wool, somehow I ended up buying a toothbrush for myself. Must be the Christmas Spirit thingy that had also trigger my shopping mode….

Will be going to another round of shopping later (its Sunday already..) Since I still got a few things to buy for a few person, I guess it will be another day of shopping and buying. And since it will be a day where almost everywhere will be crowded with people, perhaps it will be the right thing to do to get the feel of the Christmas Spirit.

No wonder the radio DJ kept on talking about Christmas shopping and stuffs this afternoon… So that’s how it happen. Shopping!!!

The Spirit of Christmas…

Well its the time of the year again, the time where everyone goes into a frenzy buying, the time where retailers will be clearing whatever stocks they have. Yes.. its Christmas!!!

Somehow this time round, still can’t really feel the spirit of Christmas yet not as excited as compared to previous years. Though there are a few upcoming parties/celebrations at our work-place. Perhaps colleagues around are not really that excited about it, thus still can’t feel the mood yet.

As usual, will be sending out Christmas cards to the few VIPs in my list, and also have to prepare a few presents for a few people. Best thing, got Christmas party to attend also… but still trying to meet the requirements of the theme of the party… since its raining past few days, can;t really hunt any birds, guess must start looking for feather duster already..

If only I can wear McFlurry, that would solve the problem I guess….

Kids everywhere..

Had went to the 1 year old birthday party of my association friend (another of my Da Jie). When I stepped out of the lift, I was like.. Wah… the whole corridor is crowded with their friends and relatives (I think..). Went into the house to look for her, but to my surprise, the whole house is full of our association friends and best still, kids…

Kids of all ages were like everywhere in the house, from babies in the months, to young babies in their 1-2 year of age. The best part of it, all of them are glued to the TV, which is playing Barney and Friends. I must say that big purple dinosaur really got its charms towards kids…

The best part its like a gathering, as my other few Da Jies also came with their kids…. So I was having fun playing with those little kids and carrying them around. But I must say today is one day where I had seen so many kids all under one roof.

Results are out…

The much awaiting exam results are out. Received it from the letter box today. Good news is that I had cleared everything, bad news is the grades are not that acceptable.

For management accounting, as expected the grades were pulled down due to failing the last test. So overall grades more or less had been affected. Thus got a Donkey for the sub.

As for Law, got a Cow for the sub, perhaps it must be the project that had helped to push up the grades, since for the class test, half the class was wiped out (including me, though I only fail by 3 marks)

Well the good news is all my group members had also cleared their Sem 3 exams.. so all of us will be going to Year 3 next year!! The final chapter to the whole diploma course. Meanwhile now is to relax and enjoy the break before school starts next year then!

Having time to yourself on a Saturday afternoon is really so nice….
