Finally gotten back my 2 test paper for last week. Well managed to pass all 2. The marks however were just average. 30+/50 for all 2 paper. On a positive note, I only spent 1 day before the test to prepare it, so able to get that kind of marks should be consider good already, afterall we are still consider to be newbies in learning marketing (according to our lecturers) So I guess with the effort I had put in, the results gotten were considered good.

Now is to focus on our group project and also our individual journal to complete the whole semester. Well looking forward to it, especially for A&P lesson, since the pretty lecturer R is here to teach us for the remaining lesson and lucky for my group, she will be taking my group for project consultation too!! So well, at least theres something nice to look at in class now.

In case people are wondering, I am not a pervert! Just need to find some motivation in attending lesson and also something to focus during lesson. Peace!!

Its been 3 months since I am into my new job with the Air Force, coming back to this place sure brings back lots of wonderful memories I had during my stint there as a NSF. One of the things I still remember is the rapport I had built up with the people (Perm-Staffs and Trainees) there during my time. So one of the things when I am back there is to try and locate as much of the familiar people I used to know back then. Sadly most of the people during my time had left, so its another brand new experience again to get to know everyone of them again.

However I had a surprise last Monday, cos I had bumped into one of my close buddy. He was actually a sign-on guy but was attached to the library (around 6 months +)while waiting for his course to commence. So we got along quite well, since we had quite a few things in common. Hokkien Peng, like to play 4D, talk cock sing song, disturb my under-study, going for breaks together. Though we still kept in contact after I orded, but somehow we lost contact all of a sudden after we start getting busy with our work.

So we were like, Hey!! Ho Say Boh!!! then the conversation just continue off in our usual Hokkien language. So we had a quick catching up last week, and today he was in the library to get some stuffs done, and we just go into our hokkien dialogue again. Talking to him sure brings back the memories of those days we spent together in the library. Hee.. all the crazy things we do and the nonsense we came up with.

Well, its so nice to know that, even though we were separated for almost 5 years, somehow when we meet again, the once familiar friendship bond just came back again. Its so interesting!!

One Component Less

Just cleared my Advertising and Promotion test today. Actually this week itself had been a challenging week. Firstly had to prepare for my 2 written test; Consumer Behavior and Advertising & Promotion test and got to ensure my reservist matter is settled. Actually was worried that if I can’t get my reservist deferred, it will affect my preparation for the 2 test. Lucky thing is that my reservist was deferred till further notice, so at least I am assured that my preparation for the test will not be affected.

The 2 tests were ok, especially the A&P paper. Its more straight-forward and application based as compared to CB, which is more theory and concept based. Furthermore the lecturer for CB is kind of ‘Straight’, to think we were treated like small kids (kind of remind me of the Pri and Sec sch days) before the test. He was like reading a whole list of instructions and the so called exam rules to us.  I think if he can, he would have even gotten us to swear (som pah) before we commence the test.

Anyway with the test over we have one less component to worry about. Well we have a reason to worry, since the test component is 25% of the overall grade. So if we screw up on the test, we will have to make sure our report and individual journal is super good. So now will be for us to focus on the report. Actually am not so worry about the report since with the revision for the test at least now we are more clear on the concepts and stuffs.

Will be waiting for the results of the test to be out next week. So something to look forward to and perhaps to get excited about. Haa… for the few of us guys we sure have something to look forward to, since for the next few A&P lesson, it will be taught by the pretty marketing lecturer. Yeah!! Finally something for a change, no more Mr Faggot for the time being. Woo Hoo!!

I know it sound nasty… but I am being honest here…..

The Notebook – Movie

Catch this show over on TV on Saturday. Had seen the thrillers on the Internet before but no chance to catch it on the big screen. So was very thrilled when I saw the thrillers on TV last week and was thinking when will it be showing on TV. So was happy to see that it was showing last Sat on TV. Make it a point to be home by then to catch it.

The show is about this old man reading a story to this old lady who is suffering from dementia. In actual fact the old man is ‘reading’ their love story to the old lady who is his wife. The touching part is where after the old man finished the story, the old lady start to have re-collection of her past, and she was thrilled to see her husband. It’s also at this part where she remembers that she is suffering from dementia, and asked her husband,

“How long did it last, the last time?”

“5 Minutes.” was the replied from the old man and they start dancing…. However in a moment, the old lady goes into her dementia state again and start to get hysterical seeing the old man in her room. At this point, you can really see the sad look in the old man’s eyes and the agony that he is so helpless in the whole issue.  Super touching!! Almost cried at this part.

A very nice and heartwarming show to watch. Especially with you love ones this valentine day!! Though I wasn’t watching it with my love one, except with my shadow. It does bring back memories of those days when I was attached and somehow we were also in an almost similar situation…. Haa… sentimental attack again.

The plot is simple but the acting is superb!! The Notebook, a movie you must watch this Valentine’s Day!
