Mummy…. Its over!!!!
March 27, 2008 at 11:44 pm | In Anything Whatever | 1 CommentYes!! First Semester for Year 3 is officially over!!
Had our last project presentation and submission of our report to our lecturers. After past few weeks of hard work, at least the tough times are over. Feeling damn relax now. Though I must say, today our presentation seems to be abit out of form, perhaps getting abit too complacent since we got good feedback on Tuesday from what we see as an anal lecturer, however today the lecturer is suppose to be on better terms with us and that could be why we are taking it abit too easy.
Well, overall I think we still did well. Cos looking at the report, though it was kind of a rush job but I believe most of the points were covered. So now will be just to wait for the grades while enjoying our 3 weeks of break. Cos we got no exams (1 week), no exams, means no study week (1 week) and plus the usual break (1 week). So now instead of the usual 1 week break, we have an additional 2 weeks to rest. Woo Hoo!!
Was talking to R on the way back and the topic of next semester grouping came up. We were talking about possible changes in the groups since as usual there have been talks of conflicts within some of the groups. Will be seeing how will things go on come next semester then.
Anyway.. am glad that we are just 2 semesters away to getting that piece of paper call Diploma. Somehow, times really fly… was just talking to my friend C about how far we were to seeing our diploma back when we first started, now we are just 2 semester away.
Well.. looking forward to 2nd semester, since the subjects covered will be interesting; Sales Management and Customer Relationship Management. Though the sad thing is, weI won;t be seeing the pretty lecturer teaching us Advertising & Promotion for this Semester, instead will be seeing the supposedly Anal lecturer from Consumer Behavior for the 2 subjects… Actually was already in shocked disappointment when the news were shared to us on Tuesday by another classmate.. I was like..
“WTF… Him?!?! for all 2 subs??!?!”
Anyway.. according to our time-table, there is suppose to be a lady lecturer teaching us for first half of the semester for Sales Management, will be checking her out from TP website to see if she has the motivation factor to make us pay attention in class anot.
Until then… Its over for us with Ms R!! Thanks for everything and for tolerating the nonsenses from me and my gang.
Stress away
March 25, 2008 at 11:45 pm | In Anything Whatever | 1 CommentHad been busy doing my 2 marketing reports. Well it has been challenging, cos our draft will always come back with full of amendments after the project consultation. Its a rush against time, since this week we are suppose to do submit our report and do a presentation on our report.
Well, today had done our presentation for Consumer Behavior and submitting our report. Though as usual, being the last minutes thingy, my group members were rather anxious about the presentation cos they do not have much ideas about the content of the report. Since we are the last group to present, so we met up earlier in school to go through. Amazing when its time for us to present, all of us are able to bring out our points well. Feedbacks from the lecturer was positive, especially on our presentation. He even can see that most of us are either in the sales line or sales trained. Which is true to a certain extend.
At least now that this one component is gone, now will be to focus on the next submission for Advertising and Promotion. This will be more fun, since its very application based. So it will be another good one for us this coming Thursday. As what R was saying, what we did today was like a Sales Talk, so Thur will be another round of sales talk for us.
Anyway, chance upon this interesting sentence on one of the 883 DJ’s blog. It sure is interesting…
骑白马的不一定是王子,他有可能是唐三藏。戴着翅膀的人不一定是天使,他很有可能是鸟人
So be careful who you are dealing with, they may not be what they seems to be…
A day in the life of a Security Personnel
March 17, 2008 at 10:22 pm | In Anything Whatever | 4 CommentsBeen busy with my school project and also with my association stuffs. Was involved as Security Personnel in this Youth Peace Interfaith Symposium organised by my association at Expo on Sunday March 16th.
The link to the event below:
I must said the role has been a challenging one, as the event is being graced by leaders from the various religious groups and the Foreign Minister being the Guest Speaker, every aspect of the event has to be well-taken care of. Being one of the IC, was tasked to oversee the area between the exhibition hall and the main hall. In the process, the security of Mr O also comes under my care as the moment he steps into the exhibition area, I will have to ensure his safety. I must said it sure was interesting as I have to follow him closely where ever he goes, and at points where he stays and interact with some of the religious leaders, I have to be standing near him. Kind of reminds me of those bodyguards I saw on TV.
Overall the whole security stint was great, though it was tiring but having the chance to go through the whole works of ensuring security of such a large scale event and to ensure the safety of Mr O is indeed an experience that I will never forget. From ensuring security before the event, safety of guests and VIPs, overall security of the main hall during and after the event, all these requires detailed planning and great seriousness in us; security personnel.
Though am still suffering from the tiredness of the event yesterday and the day before, but spirits are still high!
The Wedding
March 2, 2008 at 10:12 pm | In Anything Whatever | 1 CommentAttended my secondary school friend J’s wedding dinner last night. Its been quite a long time since I last attended a wedding dinner, so it was something I am looking forward to. As she had only invited 4 of us from secondary school, so we were sitting together with her friends from ITE.
Well, lucky I was with my best buddy E, and we kept ourselves entertain with the crap talking while J’s friends were talking among themselves. We were join by another of our seconday school friend M, so at least we got another person to keep us entertain. The whole session was enjoyable though the interaction between us and J’s friends were rather minimal. But well at least we do make some jokes that generated much laughter from our table. So below are some of the crappy things that came out from our table.
There is actually a job that specialise in peeling prawn shells, the ad appears only on the Saturday’s Classified page 501.
Most of the leftover food can always be recycled by using them to boil soup the next day. (Lobster shells on the cold plate, Fish head and tail, Chicken head and backside) Though during the dinner we were all surprise that the Chicken dish they served doesn’t comes with a head or backside. Because they had used Chicken Cutlet instead of a whole chicken.
A simple question of 你现在在做什么?and a reply of 我现在在摆pose! Can caused my friend M to become speechless while R and I laugh till our hearts out.
And the last thing that amazed me and E during the whole dinner was that we uncover the myth that ladies are small eaters.
The ladies at our tables had appetite that will not lose out to us guys. At the start of the dinner, I was telling E tonight we sure can eat alot since including M, theres only 3 guys, and since M is working in a restaurant, he is already sick of such food. So both E and I will be dominating the whole dinner. But the moment the cold plate was served, the chopsticks were all zooming in on the good food, things like slice suckling pig, lobster and spring roll were all gone, even the crab sticks used as deco were also not spared. By the time the plate does a 2nd turn on the table, what was left were just the cold baby squid and the jellyfish. Both E and I were like stunt with the response. So to further prove our point, when the 2nd dish of Shark’s Fin soup was served, all the ladies on my table goes for second helping. Seriously it does came as a surprise, as we don’t usually see ladies going for second helping. Then came the scallop and broccoli, and as expected the main target were the scallop even my lady friend R was surprised.
So the next time you attend a wedding, don’t assume that you will be able to have all the food just because most of the guests at the table are ladies, cos you never know if they are also just as able to eat as any guys around.
